Responsibilities

Performs highly complex (senior-level) business analysis and quality assurance work for the expansion and renovation of the existing Loss, Use, and Conservation (LUC) application, primarily in development of new features of the Water Loss Audit (WLA) application.

The new WLA features will consist of update to existing fields and layout of the WLA application, adding an interactive questionnaire with weighted calculations based on points assigned, adding a data visualization report of user submitted data including historical data, and adding a final document submittal page with prescribed recommendations and user document upload features.

  • Work involves collaborating with release team (project manager, developer, and application owner) to elicit, analyze, and document business, user, and system requirements/design artifacts for the new features.
  • Documents non-functional/quality of service requirements in accordance with applicable regulations and IT standards.
  • Defines and maintains traceability from business requirements to functional requirements, design artifacts, and test cases.
  • Plans and facilitates joint application requirement and design sessions with the business area and the Information Technology (IT) division and documents the outcomes and results of those sessions.
  • Creates test plan including detailed test cases to validate the new features.
  • Performs system testing and coordinates user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business users to obtain sign off for the new features.
  • Documents application defects reported during UAT and works with developer to ensure prompt resolution of the defects.
  • Coordinates production release of the new features with all the resources required for the deployment.
  • Provides knowledge transfer to IT division staff to ensure post-production support of new features.
  • Follows IT division defined standards and processes for application development.
  • Reports progress on work assignments to the project manager assigned to the release team.
  • Serves as a liaison between the business area and IT division.
  • Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
