    Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 25 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team.

    1. Creation of design documents which will be used to modernize an existing Microsoft Access database into new technology. This system is used to track grant activities including budget, invoicing and payments by defined accounting categories. Project tasks and milestone information is also collected.  In addition to providing a modern technology platform, the new system should allow real time collection, access and reporting on data. 
    2. Creation of design documents for a new web-based application used to collect and report federal data to oversight agencies and the general public. Reports are submitted to federally agencies annually.  Data for the general public would be accessed through an online search feature within the system.


    The BSA’s specific responsibilities would include:

    • Meeting with business users and technical staff to understand the existing function of the system and future requirements.
    • Creation of user requirements and software design documents.
    • Creating graphical presentations of the existing system and future functions like data flow diagrams, business flow diagrams using tools like Visio.
    • Work with the technical team regarding technical design documents and user requirements as programs are developed.
    • Participate in user testing.
    • Support implementation of solution.








    Performing duties as a business systems analyst (BSA) on complex application development projects for all phases of the software development life cycle.


    Planning and conducting user and technical team meetings to elicit business requirements of the client.


    Creation of user requirements and software design documents.


    Creation of Technical Design Documents.



    Creation of test plans, test data, executing test cases, and validating results.
