    Responsibilities

    Performs highly advanced and/or managerial (senior-level) computer systems analysis work.  Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.  Oversees planning, assignment, and/or supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

     

    Lead Tester, who is relied upon to oversee the performance testing activities of the IV&V team which include but are not limited to the following:  ensure that all Test Cases are tested on time and correctly, all completed tasks are documented in the TeamForge system, sufficient and adequate feedback is provided for all passed and failed artifacts, and that all results are well-documented.  This role is responsible for using and developing ITS systems for evaluating and improving the performance, usability, and overall quality of the client systems delivered for use by consumers, customers, parents, teachers, administrators, students, and others. Mentor testers in performance testing methodology, processes and best practices to grow skill and expertise.

     

    • Mentoring and leading IV&V testers, both FTEs and contractors on performance and automated testing activities
    • Overseeing and creating performance test plans, test cases/scenarios for all applications needing performance testing
    • Overseeing the coordination, planning and scheduling of performance testing efforts across development, operations and business user teams
    • Developing, establishing and documenting best practices, processes, procedures, forms and templates for performance testing
    • Creating and maintaining automated performance test scripts and test data, executing tests, analyzing results, creating reports, reporting defects
    • Planning and analysis of user requirements, procedures and problems to test new or existing systems
    • Overseeing the performance qualification of all applications tested by IV&V prior to their release
    • Inspecting all artifacts and products (whether acquired or developed) related to performance testing for agency software products to assure that they were developed, documented and tested according to appropriate processes
    • Researching and recommending Test tools and test applications
    • Independent verification and validation of all computer programs developed or acquired by ITS for use by the agency
    • Responsible for accurate feedback on testing tasks
    • Responsible for Weekly reports
    • Meeting agency standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    Skills/Experience

     

    Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

     

    5

    Experience in automated testing using Selenium.

    5

    Experience with Oracle, PLSQL.

     

     

    Experience with creating and modifying ETL jobs.

     

    Experience with the Agile methodology of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

     

     

    Strong experience using automated test tools for performance, functional and regression testing.

     

     

    Experience in reviewing design and architecture of application systems.

     

     

    Experience developing test cases, scripts, scenarios and test reports from requirements.

     

     

    Excellent analysis skills.

     

     

    Experience testing web-based applications.
