Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 25 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team.

  • Document existing CCEDS (CONSOLIDATED COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT DATA SYSTEM) application as-is functionality including dependencies and limitations.
  • Ability to accurately document business processes and requirements using standard DIR templates.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with business area Subject Matter Experts, end users, management and technical staff when gathering requirements and solving problems.
  • Familiar with lean concepts and apply them when appropriate to business processes that are under analysis.
  • Ability to capture complex business process and requirements through Joint Applications Development (JAD) sessions.
  • Ability to facilitate JAD sessions and elicit essential business requirements from the program area.
  • Draft the Requirements document (Software Requirements Specifications), incorporate Project Team reviews and update; and finalize for approval by TCEQ.
  • Analyze and document tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Ability to act as a Project manager as needed.
  • Communicate and work with people of all technical levels in a team environment





Performing duties as a business systems analyst (BSA) on complex application development projects for all phases of the software development life cycle.



Planning and conducting user and technical team meetings to elicit business requirements of the client.


Creation of As Is and To Be Requirements documents.



Creation of Technical Design Documents.



Creating test plans, test data, executing test cases, and validating results.



Knowledge of database concepts such as referential integrity, data modeling, entity   relationship diagrams, SQL, and Web page user interface design.
