Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 25 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

The worker performs advanced project management work involving the end-to-end coordination, planning, development and initiation of projects at various levels of completion.  Primary duties involve the upgrade and migration, integration and deployment of an Enterprise OS (Windows 10) using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar. The worker may take over project tasks at various levels of completion and will be responsible for monitoring the progress and schedule of projects and team members; and extensive communication with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties.  This includes, but is not limited to, the procurement and implementation of 4,000+ various personal computer devices in field offices statewide. Project Manager may also work on other projects in addition to PC Refresh. The worker must possess extensive knowledge and subject matter expertise of PC and laptop deployments on large scale government projects.

Experience providing project management to deploy IT solutions that includes working with technical teams, project managers, management, vendors, sub-contractors and end users.

Experience participating and leading project meetings to communicate status and stay informed on issues that may impact projects; ability to prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and proposals to a diverse audience.

Experience with project management techniques and strategies, system development life cycle (SDLC) processes, defining and solving problems, estimating and scheduling resources, producing project documentation, developing and implementing plans and work breakdown structures.

Experience with large scale PC procurements and deployments

Experience in ensuring the delivery of IT services through oversight of Service Level Agreements (SLA) with end users/contractors and monitoring of IT system performance.

Experience managing projects involving the upgrade, migration, integration and deployment of an enterprise operating system (eg. Windows 10) using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar CM

Experience reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating project deliverables and quality; ability to communicate project status and explain project methodology and processes to project stakeholders; ability to identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Extensive verbal and written communication skills

Skill in developing, driving and maintaining strategic and operational governance processes, standards and procedures for users.

Understanding of data center environment, client architectures, operating system virtualization or application virtualization to ensure predictability, continuity, and quality of project deliverables

Ability to work with technical team to implement requirements, coordinate testing, and utilize SCCM or similar;

Experience with project management software and scheduling tools

Ability to convey complex and highly-technical information to a diverse audience; ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment; ability to provide excellent customer service
