Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 25 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Treasury Analyst 1 to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

  • Processes day ahead, congestion revenue rights and real time settlement activities to meet critical daily deadlines.
  • Prepares daily cash transaction summary.
  • Makes routine daily investment/borrowing decisions, and escalates issues to management when necessary.
  • Assists with audits under the direction of the Lead Treasury Analyst.
  • Assists the Lead with the treasury month end close process and helps ensures accounts are reconciled and variances researched.
  • Provides input to help improve treasury policies, procedures and controls.
  • Coordinates wire transfers and cash transfers between accounts.
  • Analyzes balance sheet accounts and provides other analysis as needed.
  • Reviews bank account analysis statements.
  • Prepares journal entries to record cash activity; posts cash receipts activity.

Degree Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required or a combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge equivalent to a major in such fields.


2              Experience in the treasury or finance field.
                Treasury Management - Knowledge of the process of administering the financial assets and holdings of a business in order to optimize the company’s liquidity, make sound financial investments and reduce                 financial risk.
                Investment Management – Knowledge of the professional asset management of various securities and other assets and portfolio structures.
                Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data, principles and practices of                         budget preparation, and financial controls.
                Law and Government — Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules as they pertain to the finance industry.
                Computers — Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, with a focus on spreadsheet, word processing, database and financial software applications.
                Financial Analysis - Using financial data to monitor and evaluate the organization's financial position, to plan future financing, and to help determine the organization's rate of growth.
                Complex Problem Solving – Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
